Learning at TVCS extends into experiences that spark curiosity and creativity. Students build a strong academic foundation each week while exploring science, the arts, and music. They experiment in a fully equipped science lab, create in a dedicated art studio, and perform in music programs led by faculty skilled in vocal and instrumental instruction.

As students enter middle school, learning becomes increasingly personalized and exploratory. A rotating schedule of electives, ranging from engineering and robotics to world languages, athletics-focused PE, personal finance, and medicine, invites them to try new skills and imagine future possibilities.
The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a college and career readiness program, reinforces this preparation for the future. Even in elementary grades, students develop organization, planning, and goal-setting skills, equipping them with the clarity and confidence to thrive in high school and beyond.
Creativity That Comes Alive Beyond the Classroom
TVCS believes that learning is most powerful when it feels alive. That’s why the school embraces field trips and real-world experiences that many students remember for a lifetime. This year’s highlight is the award-winning show choir’s trip to Nashville, where students will perform at Dollywood, attend a songwriting workshop, and experience the world of professional music. For many, the arts become a voice, a passion, and a lifelong source of purpose.
A Community Built on Family and Teacher Commitment
Family involvement is a cornerstone of life at TVCS. Of the school’s 600 students last year, 480 parents became certified volunteers, helping in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, and bringing events to life. Their presence turns the campus into an extension of home, where children feel supported by a community that believes in them.

The strongest programs cannot succeed without invested educators. At TVCS, that investment is clear. A New Home and a Lasting Legacy
After decades in a rented facility, TVCS is preparing to move into its first permanent campus, a milestone more than 30 years in the making. The new site will feature a gymnasium, modern science labs, a performing arts classroom, and creative spaces for music and pottery, expanding opportunities while preserving the school’s close-knit culture.
The legacy of TVCS lives in its alumni, many of whom return to visit or join the staff, a powerful reminder of how a nurturing, intentional education can shape lives for decades.
