Deanna Agpoon, a mother of five, saw this need firsthand. When the rising costs of Christian schooling became unsustainable for her family, she made the bold decision to homeschool. What began as a garage-based solution quickly grew into something far bigger, a community of like-minded families and the birth of Faith Academy.
The school eventually moved into a rented church space to create a more structured learning environment. Today, Faith Academy serves more than 100 students, offering a strong, affordable Christian education that remains rooted in faith.
“We provide classical education because it centers on Western civilization, the richness of our history, and the roots of how our world was formed. Rooted in Christian values, our goal is to make this kind of education accessible to families,” says Agpoon, Head of School.
Building Character, Craft, and Critical Thinking
Faith Academy’s curriculum is built on classical methodology with courses in Latin beginning in third grade, theology from ancient Greece and Rome, biblical studies, and handwriting instruction from kindergarten through high school. Students also gain practical life skills like financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
In addition, the school offers a robust trades program where students learn hands-on skills in welding, automation, construction, carpentry, and more, led by master teachers and supported by local businesses that provide internships and career opportunities.

From day one, students are taught to think critically and communicate with confidence. To support this, the school limits screen time. All students turn in their phones and devices upon arrival, retrieving them only after dismissal. Only juniors and seniors are allowed devices during school hours for thesis work. This fosters a culture of focus, respect, and face-to-face connection.
Gratiam Pro Omnibus (GPO): Grace for All
Faith Academy is also home to the Gratiam Pro Omnibus (GPO) program, Latin for “Grace for All”, designed to support students with dyslexia, processing disorders, or mild autism. Certified specialists work with students in-house, allowing them to remain integrated with their peers while receiving personalized help.
The schools goal isn’t just academic success, but helping every child grow spiritually, intellectually, and practically. This same mission inspires efforts beyond the classroom, like the on-campus coffee shop built to support high school students enrolled in college courses. It offers a quiet, welcoming space for study, rest, and community.
A Vision That Grows With Every Child
Faith Academy doesn’t just shape students, it changes families. Time and again, the school has seen its impact extend into the homes of its students. In several cases, children brought the Gospel home, leading parents to Christ. Today, some of those same parents are active, substance-free volunteers, with restored marriages and renewed purpose, a living testament to the schools mission.
This vision continues to guide Faith Academy’s growth. The recently opened Paxton Building houses the Transitional Kindergarten (TK4) program, giving 4 to 5-year-olds access to the Academy’s rich classical education. With programs now spanning TK4 through 12th grade, the school plans to expand with a dedicated middle school building, followed by a new high school, gymnasium, multi-purpose auditorium for the growing music program, and upgraded athletic fields.
But buildings are only part of the vision. At its core, Faith Academy exists to help students know who they are in Christ. They are taught to reason deeply, speak clearly, and build a strong foundation in faith, ready to thrive not just in the classroom, but in life.
