As a single-purpose, adult-only school, it is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The program is designed for accessibility and speed—a nine-month full-time commitment that prepares students to pass the NCLEX-PN exam and thrive in clinical settings. With no prerequisite college coursework and no point-based admission system, CASPN makes nursing education accessible and affordable for qualified applicants ready to begin.
The school's focus on student success, regardless of background, is what truly makes it exceptional. Learners are welcomed by a team of faculty, many of whom are alumni themselves and truly understand the demands of adult education, including the three-fold knot of balancing family life, work and academics. Clinical training is another key element in the program. Students get practical exposure in hospitals, long-term care facilities, pediatric clinics, and mental health centers. The experience is meaningful, as clinical groups are small, with only six to eight students per instructor, ensuring each student receives proper attention. The program is structured into four progressive 10-week quarters, combining intense classroom learning with hands-on practice to build confidence at every step.

The final quarter uniquely focuses on leadership training and specialized rotations in maternal-newborn, pediatric, and mental health nursing, providing students with broad exposure and the skills to thrive in diverse healthcare settings. Alongside clinical skills, students are trained to lead with professionalism, ethical integrity and emotional intelligence, qualities that ensure compassionate, culturally competent care. Additionally, integrated ATI tools help students stay sharp and prepared for the NCLEX exam from the very beginning.
This approach has led CASPN to consistently rank among the top licensed practical nurse(LPN) programs in Illinois and even nationwide, out of more than a thousand schools. Beyond statistics, those rankings reflect real outcomes—graduates who are ready to step into nursing roles with skill, empathy and confidence. To support the transition, CASPN hosts a career fair prior to graduation, connecting students with healthcare employers and facilitating job placement.
